Yesterday after everyone had gone to sleep, I had to reward myself as usual, I do that by watching television, catching up on blogs and just generally having a ‘ME’ time. (I don’t know why I choose so late at night to do this)
I saw this picture online of a young girl in the hands of a middle aged man strolling,(possibly an uncle or dad right?) if you had seen the picture, you would not have thought of the story that followed, it made me so sad and I decided to share with you…It wasn’t her dad, it was a man that just got released from a three years sentence of abuse or kidnap cannot remember clearly but he walked this six years old to a place where he raped and killed her…PERVERT!!!!!!
This got me asking where her parents were, was it a family member? as I read further, I found out she went for a show with her dad and slept off, the dad put her to sleep in his car, went back to continue the show and could not find her afterwards, after a long search with the police they found her body mutilated and strangled…The chills I felt are unexplainable and my imagination ran wild…What if she was so sleepy and did not even understand what was going on when the stranger picked her or maybe she felt her dad sent someone to pick her, or she woke up and was crying and this PERVERT!!!!! was there to help her out, you know how children will almost follow anyone that offers them comfort.
A child is so innocent and very trusting except really taught they will not understand the danger that comes with strangers, ‘close friends’ and even ‘family’. In those days you will read a story like this and say, this happens only faraway, NOT ANYMORE! It is everywhere and almost everyday you hear a story of rape, child molestation in schools, churches and any place… you will be amazed what happens just around you if you pay a closer attention.
I say NO to child molestation and YES to sexual education for every child as early as they can understand…Basically that what Silent Whispers is about, talking about things that the society is silent about; CHILD MOLESTATION, RAPE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEX, INCEST and lots more.
Your story, experience, lessons, advice can help an abused child or adult, a battered wife or mother, a confused teenager, a young boy or man. Don’t keep your story, please help the next person. Feel free to write in and we will be here to help in the best way we possibly can. (bride2mom@gmail.com)
Jheez…so sad, and it has become rampant.
What a life we live in
Lord have mercy!
Hello my very dear Obehi, I quite agree with your “I say NO to child molestation and YES to sexual education for every child as early as they can understand”, but sadly the latter (sex education) in any degree, would never have helped that innocent child out of that snare. She was just a baby, and the paedophole an animal! In our current world where the warpest persons justify actions to “(sexual) preferences”, and we don’t scream FOUL hard and loud enough, the risk is that the evil (apparently) gradually overwhelm the good, and the good guys become the bad guys … and given names – fanatics, extremists, homophobic etc. It is well for those that place their in He, Jesus Christ, who will keep what we have committed unto Him against that (evil) day…
I totally agree with you that sex education would not have helped the innocent child in the above story… I will also teach my children to scream the loudest whenever a stranger approach them and am not there….I would make them see every stranger as a potential danger.Oh well, I will just keep praying because at the end, it is only God that can help us.
It appears you are yet unconnected with the name … 13yrs down the line (when you wre still quite lil’), nice you have turned out very well, well done… 🙂
