Hmmm I always say the way you start a relationship is the way you will continue to the end… I advise my friends but did not know I would advise myself one day…hahaha I say stuff like “if you go ironing his box of clothes while you are dating, don’t expect him to automatically give them to the dry-cleaners when you guys are married”… That’s why you hear guys or ladies saying, “my wife has changed”, “my hubby has changed” because they are shocked you don’t do the ‘normal things’ you did while dating…. I love surprises, MrPossible does too and our relationship has been a roller coaster of surprises. In short, sometimes you will not know if the other person is saying the truth or just wants to surprise you…it goes from as simple as, we are about to get into the house then he says “ where is the house key?” Then I would say, “Its with you jor” he would deny and give a very straight face and just when I am getting frantic, he would dangle the key at my face from a hidden place. Sometimes when I call him at the close of work, he would explain how he might be working late, how bad the traffic is and all of a sudden, the bell rings, when you get to the door, you find MrPossible with a big grin on his face, he likes pranking me(that is what we call it) so much so that, he can pack his car somewhere else to just pull a prank…. So almost all your days, you are kept guessing. How did this surprise thing start sef? Hmmm it is a long story and this shall just be broken into various episodes…It started when we were friends oh, I liked his company, okay who am I kidding? I liked the guy jor and while we were getting to know each other, there was this Easter break he said he may be coming around, so I was very expectant but told him “aww that will be nice, to see your parents right?” meanwhile I could not hold my excitement on the thought he will be close to my city, I could not even wait to see him…Then some days to that day, the boy called me and said , he had a lot of work to do and will not be coming…I was sooooo upset but did not show it, Maybe my abrupt OKAY! sent the message to him, but I acted like it did not get to me, as soon as I dropped the phone, I changed my bbm display picture to 
When you start changing your display picture to explain what someone did to you then, you have given them room in your head and maybe heart). Well, he kept calling daily and I kept asking if he was gonna come and saying stuff like “when last did you see your parents, don’t you think you need to see them, it’s the holidays, they would like to see you” meanwhile I was talking about myself and he would say stuff like ” yes but my work load is too much, If I come over, I would be so scattered when work resumes” not knowing the boy has already bought his flight ticket. Few days later, just when I had come to terms that I won’t see him anytime soon, my phone rings with him announcing his arrival in town – I nearly jumped out of my skin in surprise and excitement. We saw and he even got me a well thought out gift (while we were ‘just friends’ o). This was just a background to let you in on how we roll …this ‘pranking business’ has continued from our friendship days till date. On our marriage anniversary (also his birthday month) I did not get him anything special but cooked and surprised, him with my outfit. Well, the birthday was close and I needed to do something fast and believe me, I had nothing in mind that I would or could do, I wasn’t even sure what day of the week the birthday fell on, would he be at work, would it be a weekend? To top it up, BabyJ ate my charger so even if I had to plan, my phone did not work for two days…MrPossible bought a charger for me and I realised it was just two days to his birthday….Hmmmm what shall I do? I am in a strange land, how do I handle this birthday? As soon as my phone started working see me trying to get people to do what I have to do….Called the cake guy I knew and he said the date was too close (choi! I did not know any other person), went online and was trying to fix things, thought I would be able to go to the mall but was so lazy to because that would involve me taking BabyJ and mehn!!! That girl has energy and never sits in one place…. To be continued
