I just saw this on the news and knew you guys had to see this so I went to dig it out… Being an emotional head, it brought tears to my eyes and I bet you will feel same way too, I watched the video below like 3times and every time, I shed a tear or two.

It’s amazing what these friends did for their friend!!! The world is full of bad people but there are still selfless, great people…I hope we are one of the few good ones.



When Gerdi McKenna‘s friends heard she was diagnosed with breast cancer, they rallied around her and did something quite amazing—and you can watch the below

One friend sprang into action, sending an email to all of Gerdi’s friends organizing a photo shoot for her and even flew in one of celebrity stylist Gary Rom’s hairdressers.


Before the photo session, each woman decided to shave off all her hair as a gesture of undying support to their beloved friend.

“If I only think what Gerdi is going through, then this is nothing,” explains one of her friends on the video.



“My heart is full and I am doing it for my sister, she is one amazing person.. that is the least I can do,” says her sibling.

Then, on that special day, an unknowing Gerdi showed up and was greeted by an army of bald beauties, awaiting her with open arms and open hearts.


“I think she is going to be very happy, upset and tearful – but it is all for a good cause,” another friend explains.

Wiping away the tears Gerdi exclaims, “You girls look awesome!”


All their hair was donated to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) to be braided into wigs for other cancer patients.
