Brazil is the country of Carnival and beaches, where dancers, performers and visitors dressed in revealing mini bikinis and outfits are seemingly the norm.
Brazilians were asked this question in a survey conducted by their government’s Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA) survey – and most of the respondents answered “yes.”
According to AFP 3,810 male and female Brazilians took the survey, and approximately 2,480 of them – 65% – justified raping women who wear “clothing that shows off the body.” Also, almost 60% of the people who took the survey agreed that “if women knew how to behave, there would be fewer rapes.”
When I read this, I was shocked but I would like to know what you guys think…Do women in revealing clothes deserve rape?
Noone deserves rape…in revealing clothes,covered or even naked noone deserves rape. However, it is advisable for women to dress decently so they don’t bring out the dark side of a man….also men should work on their self control incase some women don’t know how to cover themselves. Noone deserves rape!
No they don’t. But this world doesnt consist of only normal people. 65 percent in that survey attest to that…so ladies should take that into account and dress accordingly.
It calls for discipline for a man to see half naked woman and turn away his eyes without been provoked.women should be decent in their dressing so as to avoid being harrassed.A half naked woman however, is not a justification for rape
