I just did not think I would get to this point. Two months ago I had a busy life! Juggling between wedding preparations and a job, I barely had enough time to relax until the evenings. I also had a full family where if you got your private space, it was golden!I had a few close friends and babies to relax and play about with. Its all changed so quickly! where the ‘private space’doesn’t just feel golden again and I have to disturb my hubby at work 10 times during the day! I literally also bug my sisters and friends far away for company. I clean a spot 5times and the usual restless me have learnt to sit still for some hours because I am forced to by boredom. Nepa of course doesn’t help in the issue, who wants to be the new mis-managing wife that puts on the generator every afternoon? No not me! So I suck it up and sit through an unbelievable kind of heat and dread sleeping because the sweating just seems like punishment…lool. This is the life of a new bride who has just moved to a new location, I am being told that its normal and would change, up to the extent where I will wish for a bit of the “boredom state” and I laugh! I can’t just sit into further frustration, so I have decided to be happy and improve myself before that beautiful job comes. I now read the marriage books I could not finish before the wedding, I try out new recipes to surprise my hubby with in the evening 🙂 and I am learning to spend more time praying and also in God’s house. If you are in this state too, don’t just sit there, you will get frustrated and be driven into depression. Look for that thing you always wished to do when you were a busy person, also improve yourself! Google is your friend and has almost everything—explore it! Learn healthy recipes for your family, like I just learnt about the zobo drink 🙂 (I used to hate it) but when I read about its numerous health benefits and garnishing it, I became appreciative and tried it out—now my hubby loves it 🙂 So Amariya out there (my neighbours call me that, it means new wife in hausa 🙂 ) be productive and useful while u still search for that dream job.
