Two Virgins wed, was one of the headlines of the story that got the internet buzzing, I am a christian, I am for keeping yourself before your wedding but I sincerely have a problem with this. They married as virgins, that is a beautiful story but putting it out on social media to me seem ……(fill in the blank), then presenting your dad with a certificate of purity from the doctor, if it rocks your boat, very good but putting it up again for everyone to see, then it is….

They said the idea is to make ‘Jesus famous’ but it doesn’t seem that way to me, it feels like they are making themselves famous and they did very well with that, because I now know them,in my little home in Lagos, Nigeria. It feels like they have further widened the gap between Believers and Unbelievers, there is already a perception that we christians act like do-gooders or perfect people and this seems like it confirms it. The mixed reviews she got online made the dad say ” I fully expected  this from people who do not understand the things of the spirit” and to that I say , What contradiction? if we are making Jesus famous  with this purity flashed on social media, who are we making Jesus famous to? Is it to the people that are saved or better still in the words of her father those that understand the “things of the spirit?” or we are actually suppose to make Jesus famous to those that are not yet saved and don’t understand the things of the spirit. The #prayforthem, really got me thinking, most times, we christians act like we are on a pedestal of perfection while every other person needs our  prayers and spiritual help, but I fear that it is the other way around. This is my opinion , what is yours? ARTICLE BELOW Very beautiful couple by the way.
Article By Paige Anderson // EEW MAGAZINE SEX & MARRIAGE  Gospel recording artist Tim Bowman, Jr. has married a woman with whom he shares something in common: both were virgins on their wedding day. On Saturday, Oct. 10, the “I’m Good” singer wed Brelyn Freeman, now Bowman, and the two are letting others know that dating God’s way is possible. “If one person has made a decision to wait until marriage or decide to stop & wait we have done our job!” wrote the newlywed wife on Instagram. The daughter of Pastor Mike and First Lady Dee Dee Freeman of Spirit of Faith Christian Church in Maryland, added, “Let’s make Jesus famous!” Well, Mrs. Bowman’s desire to get folks talking about God seems to be working. Though she looked stunning in her Vera Wang gown and he in his Tom Ford tux, it is not the couple’s garments that has the Internet buzzing. It is Mrs. Bowman’s “Certificate of Purity” she presented to her dad on her wedding day that has tongues wagging. The certificate is literally a formal document, signed by her doctor, confirming that her hymen was still intact, signifying virginity. That’s taking proof to another level. Mrs. Bowman’s decision to back her spiritual commitment up with physical evidence has been met with mixed reviews. while many are applauding the purity certificate, others are bashing Mrs. Bowman online—something her father, Pastor Freeman said he fully expected from those who do not understand “things of the Spirit.” Whether for or against it, the certificate has opened a much-needed discussion on faith and sexuality. “A lot of your hate mail will come from those who don’t feel good about who they are,” Freeman said on Instagram, adding the hashtag, “#PrayforThem.” Whatever anyone else feels about it, the Bowmans are enjoying the process of beginning their new life together on a dream honeymoon in Dubai.
