I cannot say I have reached my highest level of hotness.. lolll. I have my bad days but I try to make sure that whenever I am leaving the house, especially with MrPossible I look good! Recently I went to the hospital with the kids, since it was close to Mrp’s Office, he came over and I knew I was looking great! He told me as usual but it did not stop there, when he got home later that day, he said ” Ha babe, the way you were looking today, I just felt like saying to everybody we came across, this is my wife or shouting babe! in public so when you turn, I will tell people, yeah, that is my wife” If you read my article on look good wherever you go, you would understand how much this meant to me. I loved to dress up before babyJ but after her I let go .

Something happened one day in  church, I had just BabyJ then and I barely dragged myself to church with the kid as MrPossible was not in town. I was not looking too good, I just managed myself but BabyJ of course was looking gorg! As I sat in the parents and kids aisle of the church, I saw this lady walk in, with two kids, twins for that matter, She was neat, trimmed, well dressed, her kids were also well dressed and Immediately I asked myself, “Obehi, so what is your excuse now?” I later talked to her and she said it is not easy but she just tries to look good, then I met a lady with four children in Oman ,they all looked spick and span and if you had seen her, you would think she had no kids,my brothers and sisters that was when I advised myself…

There are few things you should focus on with your new body, they are easy and fast.

Neck Piece: Try get one or few statement neck pieces, it doesn’t have to be expensive, I noticed it gives you a pleasant and dressy look.

Bold colour Handbag: Carry your handbags and your diaper bag, but dump your diaper bag in the car and just take things that are very important into your handbag especially when you go to church or outings and there are ways you can carry a diaper bag and still look hot! a 3-quarter/distressed jean on a nice loosely fitted top would be okay with a diaper bag, just dress smart and hold your diaper bag.

Clothes that fits(not undersized, not oversized): Buy few clothes that fits the new body, like two pant trousers and two jeans, then few tops, they don’t have to be expensive, also you can pick some of your stylish maternity clothes and rock them too… Please don’t wear all your maternity clothes, some of those clothes are just for pregnancy and outside that, they are not flattering at all.

Bold colour lipstick: Buy one or two bold coloured lipsticks. I will suggest pink and red, they do wonders to your appearance. Get a good powder that would fit your new colour, you know most times your colour is not the same after the baby.

Wigs: A wig gives you a different look, sometimes sexy and sultry. The above picture is a wig o, when Mrpossible saw this, he said ” I haven’t met this Obehi, you look very different”. Get a wig or two as you may not have the time to go to the saloon as you used to, A WIG IS A MOTHER’S BEST FRIEND. Since LadyA, I haven’t fixed my hair. There are different kind of wigs, choose the one you can afford and the one that fits you. I normally ask how all this Lagos ‘big’ girls look sooooo put together all the time, from head to toe, you see their hair, and you almost want to rip your human hair from your head and throw in the gutter, mehn na wig most times! It can even bring a spark in your midnightroutine(you know what I mean) while you are Mother of two during the day, you become sexy sultry….(Fill in the blanks) at night. You can have a stylist come over to your house once a month to do your hair too, do styles that last and that is not too much hassle but makes you look neat.

Nails: You do not need to colour them, just make sure they are clean and neat, as I type, mine is definitely not clean, the nail polish is peeling off, so you see, it is a constant struggle, I am not there yet but working hard at it.

Even when you wear slacks try to still look sexy: We recently had to go visit a friend after a very stressful photoshoot, trust me, I had put on all the tight clothes for that shoot, sucked belle in throughout so I needed to be in slacks, so my belly would be free and life would look easier, though I wore a big t-shirt and a joggers, to make it look  effortlessly chick, I tied a nut by the side, A girl ghat to do what a girl ghat to do mehn and I felt free and looked good.

Don’t allow anyone tell you, you cannot do it: Just after LadyA I made my first outing and being that I made up my mind to look good no matter what, especially in this second birth, I planned to ‘murder’ that outing, that is how I dressed up,at the end I carried a red bag, diaper bag etc.Sincerely the bags were too much and a well meaning lady told me ” Mummy, shakara has ended, just carry the diaper bag and leave your bag at home, when you get to my age, you can start doing shakara again” She should be in her early forties, she was lucky I did not say,” Satan get behind me”, does she know I am just hanging in there, that I am trying not to give up. Even when I exercise, I am told by few people, rest first after the baby grows you would lose weight, that is how two years later, they will say, “Ha! you just let go like that”.

Work out and eat clean: There are no two ways, you have got to do some exercise from time to time, not one hour, just decide to go at a slow pace…tell yourself everyday, “I would do something to better my body”. As for the food, if you are not eating the right food then the weight  will keep coming back like an old stalking ex boyfriend, eat in portions and eat healthy.

There may be days you won’t look like a girl from a magazine but give yourself time every day you want to go out. Tell yourself, ‘in this whole chaos of preparing the kids, I give myself 10 minutes to look good’, have a make up purse that is always in your handbag, I carry an ear ring that can go with anything in my make- up bag because sometimes I forget to wear those. Get a bold colour flat shoes, all this bold colour stuff would act as statement pieces when you go out, wearing one at a time. Remember the best look you can pull is confidence, You have got to be confident babe no matter the size of your new body!
