I am almost the last to catch up on any trend but I still catch up before it goes into extinction and I quickly use it on Mrpossible to rub it in his face that I am in touch with my social side and that he cannot catch up with me, well, when you start looking for who you would use the latest slang on, then just know age has caught up with you…That is how ‘turntup’ came out, I finally used it just before it left the market, then ‘fleek’ came out, the day I used it, I used it wrongly and when I was corrected by my sister-inlaw, I am like, ” I used it though”(tongues sticking out). One day we called someone for a photoshoot and that is how the girl said, “Ok Obehi, just stand there and slay” slay??? what is slay????? But trust me now, i just started posing, acting like I know what slay meant till I recently learnt what it means, it is safe to say,I “slayed” that day(hahaha, I have used slay and don’t care if you guys think I did not use it well). Who brings up this slangs though? I know my sister tried to teach me some but I turned it into a lecture, I had to tell her , it is not a do or die affair, Shwu! So I should sit down and just learn slang to use on who? Mrpossible?BabyJ? or Lady A? Abeg I would pass, it is not that serious.
That is how this hello challenge came up o, thanks to Adele’s song, I love that song!!! When I drop babyJ in school, driving back, I sing the song aloud to myself, not trying to boast but Adele needs to hear my version, I feel I sing it way better but how can I conclude when it is just me in the car, just like when you sing in the shower; so as I was saying, my sister knowing I am the last person to hear stuff like this, tried to do an #Hellochallenge with me
